Although I was feeling somewhat guilty for skipping out on my
colleagues to enjoy dinner with an old friend. Their description of
the team dinner made me glad to have missed it.

My dinner was at an excellent Japanese style restaurant, just around
the corner from the St Regis Hotel. And it was truly excellent.
